    I did this 3 times. I followed the recipe gram by gram and cooked by temp but it came out hard. I noticed everything I did was correct except my oven, even though I put 425, the oven held the heat too strong. First bake was for 20 min and it came out hard. Next was for 15 min and was still a little crispy. My sweet spot was 11 minutes. Remember everyone, not all ovens are the same. Check you sweet spot

    Does anyone know why guga didn’t use baking power for this recipe. Also I did try the recipe but my buns came out kinda dry and hard I’m thinking it might’ve been the flour I used since I just went with the cheapest all purpose bleached flour I found at my super market and also my technique since I had to mix it by hand anyway I’m looking forward to hearing suggestions from anyone who tried it.

    Hey, so I tried this recipe a couple times, once with bread flour and once with all purpose flour. I can't seem to get the texture / flakiness, it's always pretty dense. Still tastes good and holds together good, but what can I do to get closer to what you get here? Only deviation is that I use cane sugar, which for the amount used shouldn't matter.

    I made this recipe yesterday exactly as shown, and mine came out with a bit denser texture than in the video. I used King Arthur all-purpose flour. I may try to let it rise longer during the second phase... I don't have much experience with baking bread, but here are a few observations I made: -A thin egg-wash coating is better than a thicker one. A thin egg wash makes a golden brown exterior, while a thicker one makes it darker. -The buns became more soft and pliable after resting. I made a pulled-pork sandwich with one right after it came out of the oven, and it seemed more dense than when I used them the next day. These are much better than the Marketside brioche buns we've been getting from Walmart. If I can figure out how to make them a bit less dense, they'll be perfect.

    Hello Guga. Mamy blesses for that recipe, as well as the "splash burgers" one. They both are great, my friends and family loves my burgers now:) One question I wanted to ask. I followed your recipe measuring everything with scale, as well as the timing. but the dough I received was extremely sticky - it sticked to my fingers and the pot I was using. Moreover, and that is bigger issue, the dough was not "elastic" as yours - even if I formed a ball - after cooking they were splashed (looked more like a pancake than bun). The taste is great, I need to improve the shape. Any suggestions on what I could do differently?

    OMG that is puerly heaven. Personally I will delete all the sugary ingredients. Too much sweet in my opinion. After the first 4 hours roasting. I would roast the last 4 hours with a chipotle sauce. Thanks for the buns recipe. I will give a try for sure.
